C4 Expo (2023)
The C4 Expo was an opportunity for small businesses created by local youths to promote and sell their products to members of the community. This event gave youths a chance to connect with likeminded people and network. This event was sponsored by Capulet Art.
The PitchLab (2023)
The PitchLab was an event that included in-depth workshops and case competition that focused on how to analyze a business and suggest innovative ideas. The participants spent a fruitful day connecting with peers of shared interest, diving deeper into the world of business, and developing presentation, communication, and critical thinking skills. This event was sponsored by SunTea and Little Fox Bakehouse.
Peak into Business (2022)
Peak Into Business was guest speaker event including experienced guest speakers from UBC Commerce introducing students to take a PEEK into the admission process, and how to write an eye-catching and outstanding portfolio. The amazing guest speakers helped answer inquiries students still had about university applications, and give insights into what it is like being in a business school, helping students discover the PEAK of their potential.
Next In Tech (2022)
Next In Tech was a case competition centred around the innovative and astonishing world of technology and creation. The goal of this case competition was to encourage youths to step out of their comfort zones and work with like-minded individuals on a business case study. This event was also generously sponsored by Grounds for Coffee!
YOUni Got This! (2021)
YOUni Got This! was a university keynote speaker event hosted on November 20th, 2021 at City Centre Community Centre. Qualified speakers were invited to talk about the university application process to inspire students pursuing post-secondary education and tips on how to get into their DREAM university. The BETA-U team spent a lot of time and effort into putting their first event of the year together and it was a success!
Career Takeoff (2020)
Career Take-Off was an opportunity for aspiring business students to explore and discover different potential careers, while also being able to connect with industry professionals and meet other people with similar interests. The speakers included graduates of U-Penn Wharton, UBC Sauder, and UBC Sciences.
